After being the benjamin of development within Mozambique the community of Cabaceira Pequena is now rapidly evolving. In this blog we will report on the implications and the projects.
Butcher
Daúdo Jamal was a butcher in a village 50 km from Cabaceira. His shop burnt down, so he came back to Cabaceira to live with his mother and start a new live. Now he is selling goat and sheep meat to the people of Cabaceira and on Ilha de Mocambique. He buys the living stock, butchers it and sells the differents parts of the animal. He now has a small amount of money to buy the animals, but there is more demand for the meat, that's why he wants a loan to be able to buy more animals and sell more meat. For the loan he also wants to buy a freezer, to be able to store the meat and sell it from his house when people ask for it and not only after just butchering an animal. He wants a loan of $500,-, which represents 1 freezer and 6 goats. He will pay this back within 6 months with the money he makes with his sell.
